Yellowstone River Outfitters

First, we hope everyone is safe and enjoying some time outside with the wonderful spring weather. We hope everyone has spent some good, quality, family time together at home over the past 2 months. We have some very good news from Montana. Starting June 1, 2020:

Yellowstone River Outfitters
  • Governor Steve Bullock will lift the 14 day quarantine for out of state visitors to Montana. This means we are fully open for business. Thank you so much to our in-state anglers who came out and fished over the past several weeks!

  • Yellowstone National Park Superintendent Cam Sholly and Governor Bullock announced that the Gardiner, Cooke City, and West Yellowstone gates to Yellowstone are on track to open June 1, 2020. The Park will be open in a skeleton crew form- no lodging, visitor centers, tour busses, or food service areas will be open in the Park. In short, this is going to be an awesome year to fish in Yellowstone.

We are excited about the opportunity to do business with you this summer, but fully understand that things are different now than they were 3 months ago. We are acutely aware that the health and safety of our clients and guides is our top priority.  To ensure everyone has a good experience in Montana, Yellowstone River Outfitters will continue to operate under these guidelines:

River Lunch YRO
  1. We will be extremely careful and diligent with cleaning and sanitizing all equipment, boats, trucks, etc.

  2. Our guides will have plenty or hand sanitizer, and we encourage you to bring yours, too!

  3. When possible, we will be asking clients to transport themselves in their own vehicles to increase social distancing.

  4. All of our food for lunches will be prepared and sealed in certified commercial kitchens to ensure quality and sanitation. If you would like to pack your own lunch, just tell your guide.

  5. We understand that although Montana is open, traveling during this time can be stressful. Our 14 day cancellation policy will stay in affect through all of 2020. We want to offer people as much flexibility as possible when making the choice to come to Montana. Having said that, if you are considering canceling your trip or moving it to the 2021 season please let us know sooner rather than later to give us ample time to try and re-book your guide.

June will be a great time to fish in Yellowstone National Park for people who want to get out of the house soon! Please give us a call if you have any questions or want to book your Montana fishing trip this summer!

Tight Lines,
