Lamar River- Yellowstone River Outfitters

How big was your fish today? This family group came out to Montana to fish 3 years ago, and they are an absolute blast. Last year, the youngest angler was 9 and the oldest was…….. Ron? These guys and gals have hiked to some pretty awesome and remote places in Yellowstone National Park to target fish. We have fished the Gardiner, the Yellowstone, Lamar, Slough, Soda Butte…….. and some other “No-Tellum- Creeks.” in the Park. 3 years ago, 6 year old Lexi had never touched a fly rod. Now, she is catching fish on her own hand-tied flies! A few days spent fishing with family in the amazing, natural mystique of Yellowstone National Park is one of the best ways to spend some quality time bonding, laughing, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. This specific picture was taken on the banks of the Lamar River last July after an epic hike and day spent casting to fish who rarely see flies. The water was gin clear, the sky was baby blue, and the smiles kept growing. Whether you have fished for 40 years, or have never touched a fly rod….. Let us guide you to the best fishing experience possible. Meet us in Montana!

*Also, please note the fishing clothing warn by this crew. “Wet-wading” is the way to go when going on an adventure walk-wade trip in the Park… Feltless wading boots, sandals, or tennis shoes are the best foot wear. For Leg protection, quick dry hiking pants are the best- shorts work fine, too.
