Happy Valentine’s Day from Montana! This is an adventure picture from a walk-wade trip in Yellowstone National Park in August. These guys had a blast. All four of them had never touched a fly rod. We hiked off trail, practiced casting, fished, caught some gorgeous trout on dry-flies, and everyone had a blast. The guys found this Elk skull next to the river. Most likely a winter-kill from the previous frost. A Yellowstone National Park walk-wade trip is about more than just fishing. Obviously, the fishing is what gets us back there, but the wildlife, flowers, silence, and pure beauty of the landscape are what keeps us coming back.
